Bellows Lens Hood
Lens Hood for Sinar p3 / f3
Here you can find all items required to build one of the various versions of a Bellows lens hood for the Sinar p3 and Sinar f3 line of view cameras.
Why use a lens shade?
With an unprotected lens, stray light from outside the subject area can reduce image contrast noticeably and this is why a lens shade is an indispensable tool in professional photography. However, a lens shade can only provide the best protection against stray light when it is optimally tailored to the angle of view, and the Sinar System offers several solutions for that purpose.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
Example of a straight Bellows lens hood
When using a Sinar p3 or Sinar f3 camera without the auxiliary of a Sinar LC shutter, a Bellows lens hood can be made using the following items of the Sinar System:
Lens adapter ring appropriate for the lens that is being used
473.41.000 Filter-/Bellows holder
452.16.010 Tapered bellows
472.41.000 Rod holder 100
472.71.000 Filter rod 16 cm
472.81.000 Filter rod 25 cm
473.31.000 Bellows holder clip
531.61.000 Accessory shoe
With the above solution the length of the bellows extension can be adjusted to the needs of the focal length of the lens.
Thanks to the Joint rod, in addition, the bellows extension and also the bellows direction can be adjusted.
One ND filter (Neutral Density) or any other filter of the size 100 x 100 x 1 mm can be inserted in the Filter-/Bellows holder.
If you want to use a Polarizing filter at the same time as the bellows hood, the following items are needed additionally:
472.41.000 Rod holder 100
472.71.000 Filter rod 16 cm
472.81.000 Filter rod 25 cm
546.31.000 Swiveling linear polarizing filter
The Rod holder for the Polarizing filter is mounted on the left hand side of the Carrier frame of the Front standard.

Sinar m

Whether it is used as a view camera shutter or as a compact professional camera, the Sinar m is a modern, fast and fully electronically controlled focal plane shutter that is highly effective in every situation.
The Sinar m Becomes a View Camera
The Sinar m also provides the photographer with a modern shutter system for the Sinar p3 view camera. All functions of the camera can be controlled directly from the Sinar m and also via the Sinar CaptureShop™ exposure software. The proven Sinaron Digital Lenses, built into the Sinar Electronic Aperture Control (CAB) mounts, can also be controlled by means of the operating elements of the Sinar m as well as via the exposure software. This represents a significant advantage for the user, especially with an elevated camera position, as in reproduction applications.
With shutter speeds up to 1/2000 second, the Sinar m is the fastest view camera shutter altogether. That, combined with the Sinar p3, makes the Sinar m the perfect system for everyday use in the studio and also on location.
Everything Under Your Control...
Regardless of whether you happen to be positioned at your computer or at the camera, you always have your system under complete control. Every setting that you can make on the Sinar m can also be made by means of the Sinar CaptureShop™ exposure software (requires version 5.2 or higher). The camera system can thus be controlled entirely from the computer and CaptureShop reacts to virtually every input on the camera. Setting changes are synchronized between the computer and the camera, so that accidental operation is impossible. This logical and highly efficient integration is an incalculable advantage for the user that systems assembled with components from different manufacturers cannot offer at all or at best only incompletely.

Sinar Auto Aperture Shutter

Features:
The shutter is always fully open so you have maximum brightness on the ground glass.
- When you insert a film holder into the back of the camera, the shutter automatically closes down - no more lost sheets of film!
- Automatically self-cocking.
- Shutter speeds from 1/60 to 8 seconds plus B.
- Aperture control from f/4 to f/45 (higher apertures controlled through DB-manual mount).
- Includes a filter holder which accepts up to three 100 mm filters inside the camera.
- To be used with the Auto Aperture Shutter, lenses must be mounted in the Sinar DB mount. If you already have lenses in between-the-lens shutters they can easily be converted.
- Both, the Sinar Auto Aperture Shutter and the Sinaron DB lenses require a 4x5" camera standard.
Between-the-lens Shutters are mechanical units that are integrated into the lens mount, between the two lens barrels. Mechanical Copal between-the-lens shutters have to be set from the front of the camera, and they have to be closed before the dark slide is removed from a film holder. They also have to be cocked before each exposure. The fact that each shutter has certain individual tolerances can lead to differences in exposure times when lenses are changed. This shutter is available in three sizes: 0, 1, and 3. The size required is depending on the design of the used lens. The available aperture is also depending on the used lens. The minimum shutter speeds are:
Size 0: 1/400 sec.
Size 1: 1/250 sec.
Size 3: 1/125 sec.

Sinarback eVolution and Sinarback 54 MC require the Hasselblad V interface version.
Thanks to the sliding adapter's snap-in mechanism digital backs can easily be turned from landscape to portrait without the need of any tools. The 6x6 cm focusing screen is marked with the Sinar p's swing and tilt
axes, which allow for quick and precise Sinar p 2-point sharpness adjustment.
An optional 3X magnifier can easily be placed over the focusing screen allowing for a clear and contrasty viewing image of the subject.
