The Acadalus CPS-h1 camera head allows you to accurately frame the image by tilting the camera in the desired direction with its microprocessor-controlled stepper motors. Press a direction key for continuous movement or tap for a tiny adjustment. Any rotation of the camera is carefully monitored and compensated for by the head, keeping the movement of the camera straightforward and intuitive.

The Acadalus CPS-h1 camera head shortens the time you need to get ready to shoot from a tripod. Forget about multiple rounds of adjustments trying to get that bubble level centered — the Acadalus CPS-h1 levels the camera automatically. There's no need to be distracted from your image, even on uneven terrain or with tripod legs of different lengths. Thanks to its advanced software, the head compensates for yaw, keeping the actual movements of the camera intuitive and as intended even if the tripod position requires a substantial angle to maintain level.

The Acadalus CPS-h1 camera head's easy to use keypad lets you work uninterrupted in dark studios. Instead of having to turn on the room lights in order to see the spirit levels, simply tap on the key pad to illuminate it. After a few seconds it dims down again to avoid interference with the subject.

The Acadalus CPS-h1's built-in sensors determine whether the camera is level or not and with the touch of a button, the microprocessor controlled stepper motors level and position your camera precisely.
Aligning your camera to the subject is quick and precise when using the intuitive five button keypad.
While on location, power the system with the durable 2800 mAH 18.5 V lithium ion rechargeable battery pack. Its circuitry ensures safe charging with the matching charger and blocks accidental short circuits while transporting the pack. The device also features an advanced state-of the art fuel gauge microprocessor.
A convenient locking lever firmly tightens the head on the tripod.
The universal power supply is perfect for continuous use in the studio.

CPS-MC1 Master Control Unit

Expand the capabilities of your CPS-h1 camera head with the touchscreen CPS-mc1 control unit. The unit's software gives you control over camera tilt manually or in complex sequences. With supported DSLR camera bodies, you can control image sequences like time lapse or stitched panoramas directly from the CPS-mc1. And if your camera position is at the other end of a ladder, or even worse, you can fine-tune your composition with both feet planted firmly on the ground.

The cps-mc1 is also designed with the future in mind, with easy upgradability and with interfaces like bluetooth, USB and flash sync.

Why do I need it?

Remote Control

The Acadalus CPS-mc1 Master Control unit makes your equipment a lot more versatile. This palm sized control unit lets you remotely control your Acadalus camera head and supported DSLR cameras on the 4.3" touch screen. This comes in handy when the best vantage point for your assignment is in a hard-to-reach position. With the touch of a button, the connected Acadalus CPS h1 head will automatically level or adjust the inclination.


The Acadalus CPS-mc1 Master Control unit was developed for photographic applications using motorized equipment. It is based on the latest generation of powerful yet very energy-efficient microprocessors, which is key to increasing the system's battery life on location. The Acadalus CPS Control Unit features all major interfaces such as Bluetooth, USB, RS 332 and flash sync. Its software can be updated via USB on any computer with updates downloadable from http://www.acadalus.com. The unit can be powered either with an Acadalus Power Supply or an 18.5V Acadalus Lithium Ion Battery Pack.

Capture Sequences

The Acadalus CPS-mc1 Master Control unit combines capture sequences with movements of the camera head. You can start complicated exposure sequences by merely touching the screen. The device is a great help for shooting time lapse movies, HDR images and picture series for special effects if you need to combine predetermined tilt movements of the head with exposures.
